About
We built BienCheck so people would stop buying blind
Buying a home in France is often the biggest cheque you'll ever write. And yet most people sign after a love-at-first-sight viewing, an agent's PowerPoint and two 20-minute walk-throughs. We wanted to change that.
Our mission
Give every buyer the equivalent of a property-savvy mate, available round the clock, who tells you plainly whether the deal stacks up.
Who it's for
First-time buyers, buy-to-let investors, owners getting ready to sell. And the pros who want a quick second opinion.
How we do it
We pull only official public sources (DVF, Géorisques, ADEME, INSEE) and cross-reference them with our own scoring method.
Our promise
Nothing invented. No paid rankings. No estate agent hiding behind the algorithm.
Where the idea came from
One of our founders almost bought a house without realising it sat in a high clay shrink-swell zone. Next door, a neighbour had cracked walls and an open insurance claim. The information was free and public, but tucked away in a Géorisques map nobody opens. So we said: this has to surface on its own, in plain English, right on the property page.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't do retargeted ads. We don't take a commission on a sale. Our only revenue is the Premium report users buy one at a time.
- No silent subscriptions
- No commissioned partnerships with agencies
- No lead reselling to brokers
The team
A small French team, half tech, half property. We code in Paris, write from the regions, and test on real listings every week.
